Need advice which site should i choose £800 without electricy and £1300 with electricy . On average what will i use in a season march to october new to touring . Thanks

Hi Louise. That works out at approximately £2 per day every day even if you are not there. It rather depends if you will use an electric heater. If not a 12 volt supply might do you. A solar panel and a good leisure battery would cost you less and after your first year your 12 volt electric is free.

" new to touring" thats not touring that is a seasonal pitch. Touring is about £3 a night on average for EHU (electric hook up)

Go for EHU pitch as you will need if not you will use a lot of gas for heating and cooking we use a hot plat for cooking

Assuming the £800 site offer an EHU, just a funded one where you pay for what you use?

The £500 price difference over what can't be more than 244 days if both months are included, works out at an average of £2/ day, resident or not.
Even assuming resendency is 50% that is £4 a day electricity, and there is the summer warmth taking a big chunk of that time.

You really would have to be wasting electricity in a big way to use £500 worth up, a very big way unless you are there all through.
