After a mild wet winter my caravan looked a sorry state, the roof and other parts has a layer of green algae. How do I clean this off? Fenwicks does not have any effect, I tried Domestos with limited success,
Any ideas?????
I use wet and forget to stop it forming and to kill the spores, any that I miss I remove with autoglym caravan and motorhome cleaner and a lot of elbow grease.
Domestos?? seems a bit harsh

Muc off, Rhino Goo or traffic film remover (diluted if it's an industrial one). I use Rhino Goo myself simply because we used to sell it and I've got a few bottles left.
Spray it on, leave for 10 minutes then hose off, you'll be amazed.
I use it on discoloured and stained aquarolls, wastemasters and the like, they come up like new.
Most likely the Fenwick's Caravan Cleaner needs to be a stronger diluted mix with the water. Read the instructions on the container as it advises clearly what to do for removing stubborn algae stains. Maybe you're not leaving it to soak for long enough before working it in with a soft brush but whatever, Fenwick's Caravan Cleaner has never failed for me in 15 years so you must doing something wrong. The one thing that Fenwick's won't shift is the unsightly black streaks but that has to be treated with an alternative product.

Used Muc Off as well quite a lot myself, good stuff but you have to remember to wash off as they say it leaves a film
Never tried the rhino goo but heard a lot of good things about it so will have to give it a try
