Just been sent a e mail by our caravan storage obviously he has completely shut our compound until further notice was just wondering do you think were being unfair in asking for reduced rates were in a gold storage yard paying £51 a month are anyother storage people getting reduced rates ??
Has he reduced any of the service he provides? If no then why would you receive a reduced rate.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?

How can you really justify a reduced rate if your caravan is still there? Presumably under normal circumstances you would be taking it away for some periods of time, so if anything your caravan is going to be there for more time than it would normally be.
Are they reducing the level of service or security that they would normally provide? Sorry, but I fail to see how you can justify any reduction. I certainly would not expect one if mine were in storage.
Just paid my storage fee for the coming year, it is what it is 'storage' at least I know it is safe as I cannot get out to check it over or use the caravan until this virus is over.
Would you be happy if you were told to keep working for less money?
A storage site is someones livelihood, if you can't use your caravan they are still looking after it, still paying insurance etc.
Some people really don't understand the ways of the world
It has to go down the line. In order for the storage company to give you a refund they themselves need to be in receipt of some sort of payment from the government. If they do qualify for such a payment then you might be justified in requesting a refund.
If your caravan is remaining in storage with same level of security then the service is still being provided. I doubt the law at the moment allows you to travel to the storage yard & enter it as it would be considered an unnecessary journey.
If there is not change in the service being offered then requesting a refund could be counterproductive for you if yard goes out of business as you then might be required to collect your caravan at short notice with nowhere to put it & no permission to tow it on the road. This might end up with your caravan stuck in an unlocked yard without security.
You did not appear to like the previous answers. Did you like mine? It is not judgemental but just thinking the situation through from start to finish.
