The Caravan Club have opened up their bookings for next year until June.
Don’t miss out on your favourite sites for next year especially for Easter and Bank holidays.
Now is your chance to book a full week in York but you will have to hurry.
I gave booked 49 nights in the first few months of next year. We book some well in advance and others go as we feel like it
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
Hi
Am a member of both. This year the first time in many years with the CMC.
But the CCC have stated that.
They are extending memberships for the length of time that the sites remain closed to ensure we all get a full years membership.
I can see the idea of wondering what the CMC will do. I belong to a swimming club and they have emailed all members saying if you can't afford the full monthly fee ask for a reduction but if you can help by paying extra please do so. We are talking about a club and we need to think that many costs will remain the same. Rates, wages, gas & electric standing charges, refuse collection. they will all be the same is a site is empty or full. Lets pull together, support the two clubs and site owners. I've started booking loads for 2021 so they have some assurance of income.

I applauded C&CCC for their swift message to members saying they’d extend their membership for however long their sites are unavailable to members..
CMC on the other hand are trying to ensure a good income stream for next year by opening up the bookings this early. Also they are trying to get us to buy vouchers to stay on their sites 120 quids worth for only 100 quid which I expect you’d have to pay for while the offer is on.
I also noticed last year that the cost of staying on a CMC site has gone up appreciably. C&CCC’s prices have gone up by far less.
I have to say I’m not impressed with CMC at this time.
I had a phone call from someone at Moffat C&CC club site this morning. She said she needed to cancel my booking for next week as they would not be open.
I was offered the choice of a refund or a credit to my account that I can use when the sites reopen.
A really good and personal service.
(I chose to leave it as a credit in my account as I'm away as soon as I can)

Don't use Club sites, much prefer small sites, whether Club or independent. The price of Club sites is ridiculous!
Most are priced out of what we are prepared to spend. Although it is our choice when we do happen to use a club site on occasion we use the facilities in the caravan rather than the site's utilities. CLs and commercial sites are now a better option. The CMC is a dinosaur stuck in the past century.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
CMC beggar belief. Just had their newsletter and they’re doing a ‘poor us - please support your club in these difficult times’
No thought for their poor members who may be struggling on 80pc pay if they have a job to go back to at all. What happened to clubs being for the benefit of their members?
I’d have a little more sympathy with CMC perhaps if they hadn’t wasted millions on a re-Brand which was IMHO wholly unnecessary.
I certainly won’t be renewing my membership when it expires.

Have to agree with your sentiments. Unlike the C&CC they are not extending membership due to the suspension of use of their sites. Even 2 months extension would have been nice.

C&MC club site bookings are now open until 2022.
I think they are getting desperate and need to show creditors something. If we really needed to use a club site we will only a book a month in advance at the most. Last time we used a CMC site for an over night stay was for the ferry to France. I paid using contactless and they were quite offended when I asked for a receipt!
