I understand exactly what you are saying, the difference between the monthly cost of storage is far removed from the monthly cost of a seasonal pitch. Our monthly storage is approximately £32 against a possible cost of £200 for a seasonal , big difference when you can't get on site.

My point is you can't be expected to pay the same as if you have full use of the facilities ,the rate per week should be reflected in that and relate to storage related rate.only.

I don't see a problem? Lock down or not you still would have had to pay. Not sure why seasonal caravanners and owners of static caravans expect a rebate.

I’ll tell you why we expect a rebate. We have paid up front for an 11 month licence to visit our site as often as we like in that period. For 6 weeks now we have been forbidden to use the caravan, this a breach of the contract we have with the caravan site - ok it isn’t their fault but at the same time it certainly isn’t ours. At the moment we are £420 out of pocket which is likely to rise in the coming days.
What infuriates me more than anything about this whole episode - the govt say it isn’t safe for me to visit my caravan, where I can be 150-200mtrs away from the nearest person to me, and I have to stay at home, YET it’s safe for me to drive 31 miles to work, sit 2m away from someone coughing up a lung for 8 hours then drive 31 miles home again and sit in my house until the next morning.
It’s an utter nonsense it’s either a lockdown and we stay in all the time, or it’s safe to go to work and safe to go to my caravan. They cannot have us all go to work and have nothing enjoyable to look forward to at the end of the week.
