Hi Everyone, We are just new to this forum so a quick message to say hi. We own a Teardrop Camper (Bushcamp Explorer) that we take on our adventures. We also supply two brands of Teardrop Caravans in the UK from Procamp and Hero Campers. If anyone has any teardrop caravan questions we would be happy to help based on our own experience. We have been operating for the last couple of years and based up in Northumberland. Looking forward to getting involved in the discussions.
As well is two words!

Yep, seen a few similar to this when we were over in France last year, great idea especially for smaller cars and even some BEV’s that have towing capabilities.
Even for larger cars they are good, as the drag factor is going to be considerably less than that of a conventional caravan.
I would have loved one of these when I was young. Pity they weren't around (or at least I never saw one) when I first got married. Wouldn't be any good for us now though as we are in our 70s and we'd probably struggle just getting in and out.
There is one very similar a few doors up the road from us. A young couple own it.
When I was considering getting a caravan, I was going to get a TAG tear drop.
However I decided against towing and am getting a campervan instead.

My very first holiday as a married man was in a campervan borrowed from a friend. It was a Bedford Dormobile, with a column gear-change, sliding front doors which you could leave open, and no seat belts. It was great fun! Don't think we could cope with one now though. Too much messing around making seats into beds, and no facilities for a night-time visit. No standing headroom either.
