Hi Tam I’m also in Scotland. Don’t take this as gospel but my understanding is we are not supposed to go further than five miles from home for anything non essential. So on the back of it probably not. Then again is it essential? My gut says it would be one of these things if nothing goes wrong it would likely be ok. However if something happens you could be in trouble.
I had read that some if not all? Insurance companies are refusing to pay out if lockdown rules are being breached. I would definitely check into that before doing it.
Sorry I cannot be of more help.
Kind regards
Davy

Brilliant Davy and thanks for the reply, I kind of guessed along those lines. Loads of vans being bought and sold just now, I wonder how they move them?
Maybe Sturgeon will relax a bit more come Thursday.
P.s we just got a new to us van 2 weeks before lockdown started. Have towed it from Houghton Le Spring home to the Borders and it’s sat ever since teasing me. We were booked for 2 weeks in Fort William in May. Looking at it is torture 😔.
To make it worse I have a three nearly four year old giving it the constant Dad when can we go away with the caravan.
That’s without mentioning the Wife lol.
I know someone who has just travelled south to buy a car, with no questions asked and all done with social distancing rules in place so don’t see the issue with a caravan being honest
------------- Who needs travel agents,we have our static
Took mine last Monday to the dealers 20 miles to get serviced collected Friday no problem even saw other towed caravans
You got a legitimate reason Go for it
Sorry, but a bit fed up reading this from fellow Scots when some of us can't get on a ferry unless we're key workers or have urgent medical appointments on the mainland.

Must admit I think you are correct. As I had said before if something goes wrong there will be trouble.
Result!
Having viewed and agreed to buy the caravan, the previous owner is going to deliver it. Thank you for all your comments. Now for the list of questions, I must ask.
