Hi all,
We are looking to buy a fixed bed caravan with a budget of about £7000. We like the layout of a Bailey Senator Indiana 2008 or a Sterling Eccles Jewel.
In an ideal world we would like an l shaped or u shaped seating area but this isn't a deal breaker.
To me and her who must be obeyed, it is like buying a house, you walk into it and straight away you both go "i like this" Our latest van Been away in it once, because of lock down, but it was a good trip. On this van the front drawers can be taken out so you have wrap around seating, so best of both worlds. P.S. you do have to buy extra cushions for when you take out the front chest.

I have the Elddis Rambler used i bought begining of the year paid a tad more than you mention but all buying is horse trading, its fixed bed at rear and u shaped lounge at front. There's been a few things i've had to sort but thats my fault, a wiser buyer than me could have got it a lot cheaper but layout wise its ok, good luck in your search.
2010 Bailey Pegasus 534 should come in about that price, it has fixed bed and end bathroom with separate shower. We have the chest of drawers in seating area but you can find them with cushions to make U shaped seating.
Got ours July last year, had 3 outings in it and all was fine.

We went for fixed single beds this time. We have so often been unbearably hot at night in France (our main destination) that we decided this would be the best option. It also means that someone (not saying who!) getting up in the night doesn't disturb the other!

If I ever buy another tourer in future it will have to have a fixed bed. The kefuffle of making up a bed after a few liquid refreshments was getting let’s just say tiresome lol

We had a Pegasus 534, excellent vans. Our current Unicorn Cadiz has twin fixed beds so its easy to get in and out. Plus they are long enough for me.
Most tranverse or centre island beds are a tad short for me!
Caravan designers must all be under 6 ft!
