the lockdown easing Gridlock I mean, unless I missed it the news didn't report any holiday gridlock , as all the doom and gloom merchants, predicted. (taking a duck and hasty retreat, as ive just had a few beers)
The lorry parking areas on the Exeter and Taunton services were unavailable for lorry drivers needing to take their compulsory break because it was full of caravans and motorhomes!

Well I did go out today, as the weather wasn't good enough to lie out in my garden as I planned. I went to arrange some refresher training at the Heritage Railway I volunteer on. Traffic wasn't bad at all, but it is only a 14 mile drive and not over a holiday route.

Well two sites near me (Little Battens Park Chippenham) and (Clarenden Academy Trowbridge) happen to be full. Chain lock gates found to be cut through and no site fees paid. Just saying....
------------- everything will be O.K. in the end, if it's not O.K. then it's not the end.

------------- DS-There's more to life than football!!!
Plenty reports of gridlocks in the South West, and drunken disorderly behaviours in the news.
As expected and no surprise there to be honest.

Spot on, one is a public park, the other a school. No elsan, no public WCs, no fresh drinking water. How do they manage.
Not only travellers. We have a bunch of motorhomers who use our prom as a free camp-site. 15 there last night. Some have stayed for weeks on end. Locals shudder when we think about where they are emptying their cassettes. At least travellers travel - some of this lot seem permanent!
It isn't always travellers.

And all those bushes, old tarmac, carpets, and mattresses were strewn about as well!
