Just purchased a new awning tuscany 380 Vango. Now I find most pitches at only 2.5m for awning max. This one being 3m. Anyone know of serviced pitches taking wider awnings?? or having this problem
Never really given that a thought before and never had a problem. Our awning is quite a bit wider than our caravan, in fact I have often said that the caravan would easily fit inside it. Never actually measured it though, and as the awning was second-hand I have no literature or measurements with it. We do normally avoid sites that are too regimented though and prefer random pitches to fixed lines.

Colin

I think you will find that 3 metres is a standard width for an awning anyway. However, some awning manufacturers do produce a 2.5 meter wide one but usually only in one particular model in their range and the rest being 3 metres wide.

not quite tango, all standard awnings with the odd exception are 2.50 deep so by that i mean isabellas, bradcott, dorema its mainly the inflatable porches that are 3 meters deep
This has got me curious now. Our awning is a Trio and it's a poled one, and it has always seemed quite large compared to the Trio porch awning we had before. It's certainly quite a bit wider than the caravan. I'll have to measure it next time we use it.

I have to disagree actually because Bradcot manufactured 4 different models of full awnings which were the 'Residentia' (a seasonal awning) the 'Sport', the 'Classic' and the 'Active'. The 'Classic' and 'Active' models were both 3 metres wide but the 'Sport' model was the only 2.5 metres wide, the other 3 were all 3 metres wide. That's why a Bradcot annexe wasn't universal due to the the two different widths.
