Well my new Vango Vienna 400 awning and carpet arrived today, from PJ Outdoors. just opened the bag to feel the material and its awesome, the fabric is the Residential Sentinel Tencate material said to be the best in the world,Roll on 4 weeks time to get it on the van in cornwall for 2 weeks , i will do a full review when i get back. and big thanks to jonathjan great service from them down in St Albans
I do like it, but could never justify paying that sort of money for an awning.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We have the Vango Montelena 400, nice awning but Im not too sure on its effectiveness in the wind (I posted an issue we had in this forum in March).
If the wind is blowing directly towards the front of the awning, it doesnt appear to stand up to it very well, due (in my opinion) to the design of the straps at the front and also the vertical airbeam at the front.

That was one of the problems we had with the air-awning we bought. We had a very windy night, and despite storm straps we had it slamming into the side of the caravan. We had to get up in the middle of the night and take it down in a gale. I wasn't impressed! Our previous poled awning would have had no problem coping.
