Hi, I've a leisure battery fitted in my caravan, can anyone recommend the size and type of fuse needed to fit, if I charge it with a small portable solar panel.

Depends on the panels output.

Small panels can be connected directly with a fuse, larger panels will need a charge controller to avoid them boiling the battery dry due to overcharging.


How big is the panel? How many watts and at what voltage? Small panels maybe 5v - 12v but they maybe 20volts or more.
