Hi
Just renewed our van year old, for new for old at £287.00
Maybe you need to do a search on the web for a better deal.
Am with ARKEL.
May not be the, all singing all dancing club ones, but covers van. awning, & equipment, plus bikes etc so cannot see a problem.
------------- Cheers

I had a silly price from Towergate for renewal earlier in the year. I went on a comparison site and Towergate was showing there for nearly half what they were quoting for renewal. I left it for a couple of days and out of the blue I had a call from Towergate new business asking if I was interested in the online quote! After some haggling they agreed to my renewal for slightly less than I was paying the previous year and a bit lower than the online quote. This was the first time this has happened in three years with Towergate but I know next year to do some test quote requests to get the insurers interested.

My policy with towergate last year was £187, for a complete beginner with new for old cover on a Bailey Pegasus Modena, due my renewal soon so will keep an eye on the price
I never renew any insurance just on the renewal quote. I always prepare for the quote by checking 3 comparison sites first, so I have some ammunition to knock them down with when my renewal quote arrives. It usually works.
Having an old caravan my insurance is a fraction of those prices anyway, but I still check. I'm currently with ClubCare through C&CC and it only works out over the year to a little over £1 a week. However, if I can find the same cover cheaper elsewhere next year..........

We have been with Towergate for a couple of years and no claims yet their annual renewal have increased by a minimum of £150 a year. We are up for renewal in November so if a hefty increase again we will be looking around.
Myinsurance and also Ripe insurance seem to be getting good reviews. The problem is that until you make a claim you do not know how good the insurance company really is.
hi all thanks for the replies got in touch with towergate explained my renewel and they said they would look into it and ring me back they did,nt ring back they e-mailed me saying it was an admin error and last year was £307.25 like i said not £602.50 and the renewel for this year would be £450.67 not £830.10 so e-mailed them to cancel my policy and i have insured with myinsurance for £262.83 their loss
hi,dont think you will beat the caravan and motorhome insurance,i put a claim in a few years ago for hailstone damage to van, they inspected van within two days, decided it was a right off and claim settled and money paid into my account within two weeks, you never know how good your insurance company is until you put in claim.

Hi
Just shop round, for me club insurance kept going up, so i went to Frank Pickles.
Great for a few years but ended up doing the same.
So i now go via go compare sites, etc who do touring caravan cover, and get the best quote new for old every year.
Makes more sense to be honest.
Don't forget your house insurance, will also cover a lot of your van contents when you are away, and you can only claim from one of them.
