Aren't the motor home type heavy to put oñ one side of a caravan,I've had a caravan store for years no problems, if they are ok on a caravan I might get one
A lot of them sit more on the roof just above the awning rail.
Well at least all the ones I've seen on foreign vans in France do.

I don't think anyone advertises a roll out awning like those for motorhomes for use on caravans due to the weight and fixing. Many of them need specialist fixing just to get them on campervan conversions due to the roof profiles.
The only ones I've seen advertised for use on caravans are the awning in a bag type that are rolled out manually rather than using a winch which is what you don't want.
This is not to say they wouldn't fit on a specific caravan but I would suggest you contact Fiamma and Thule to ask about the feasability of using one designed for a motorhome on your particular caravan as they will know if it's possible. We got advice from them about the correct fixings for out campervan and they were very helpful.
