How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Phone and pay the £10 or £15 to change ownership into you name. Although a bit late they will tell you if there is any outstanding finance on the caravan or where it was stolen.

I would just in case
If the previous owner did not update with Cris then most definitely I would not just in case. If the caravan has been stolen earlier in it’s life & then sold on by thief at a later date then any contact with Cris will result in you losing caravan or have to buy it from insurer who paid out original owner.
As UK has no DVLA registration of caravans then stolen caravans can remain undiscovered & sold on multiple times until end of life unless a buyer tries to update Cris.
Anybody buying a caravan worth anything should check it with Cris before paying money for it.
