We have all our old tenting crockery, cutlery and pans. All the plates are melamine, the cutlery is lightweight metal, cups are tin/enamel and the "glasses" are polycarbonate. Pans are standard kitchen.
Currently we actually remove everything but the cutlery, pack into plastic boxes and stuff into a low-level under-seat locker. How long this goes on for is another question...
Burger joints give out holders for take out drinks, made out of egg carton stuff. Works well for glass tumblers.
Regarding plates, we have the cheapo white toughened glass jobs from Ikea, and mugs from the clear stuff, travelling in the wire racks with no padding. Haven’t lost anything through breakage in top cupboards yet ( fingers crossed)

Now there will be an excuse for my teens to have a McDonalds!!
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We use rubber matting from poundland making dollies for the plates and rubber matting for the shelves so nothing moves and we have had plates and cups for thirty years
