Hello all,
I'm attempting to insure my 2009 swift charisma 535. The comparison sites are asking me if I have a tracking device on board?
A brochure is telling me that there is a concealed security data chip within the caravan's construction.
Is this the same?
Thanks
Rich
I sounds like the tagging scheme that CRis offered to owners when they registered the van with them. Mine has them, it comprises of a tag which is concealed inside the van which can be used to identify the van with a hand held scanner and micro dots fixed to various items and parts of the van. If this is the case then it's not a tracking system as such.
I'm guessing that anything like this fitted to your van would have been fitted retrospectively.

Thanks for getting back to me appreciate it. Have checked with insurers and its not a tracker. Apparently you pay monthly for a proper one. Can't see me doing that.
I think a wheel lock, a hitch lock and regular insurance will suffice.

No tracker is completely different its a subscription based service in that you have it fitted in caravan and it tracks any movement of your caravan I use a phantom one
