Hi - I've just taken delivery of a well-used caravan which is destined for use as a sort-of spare room. I've never done any caravanning before, and am struggling to work out how to connect it to a water supply - a hose rather than a water container. It's got an outlet I've tentatively identified as a Carver Crystal 2, but I've got no pipes or anything to hook it up with. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Is there some kind of adaptor I can connect it to?
Any advice appreciated :-)
Hi, the lower part of that fitting is designed to accept a submersible pump. The two white clips hold it in place. On the right at the bottom are the electrical connections for the pump, and the water inlet is to the left of it. It's a combined fitting. The large bit above the pump connection is the water filter.
I should add that you can't connect a mains water hose directly to it as the water pressure would be way too high. Caravan water systems are designed to operate at low pressure with water being pumped from a container.

There are hoses with inbuilt pressure reducing valve, whether there is one for your fitting I don't know. But one could be made to fit I expect. Hose with reducing valve and fitting to fit your input housing.

Dear all - thanks so much for your friendly welcome and pertinent advice. I shall get the adapter hose with pressure reducer as you suggest.
Kind regards,
Mark
This is what you need, screws into aquaroll.
Basically a float valve which automatically tops up your aquaroll as you use water.
Not a pressure reducing valve, a lot safer I think..
If a pressure reducing valve failed you could flood your caravan.
Same difference hooked up to site water
supply but without the pressure .
