Why would using a non bio wash liquid stop from freezing, does it contain antifreeze?
from what I remember learning at school pure water freezes at 0 degrees but impurities lower the freezing point. Probably not a lot but I've never had the container of mixed water and non-bio laundry liquid freeze in the front locker of my caravan so I recon it helps enough.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
Man who services our caravan (qualified + 30 years experience) told us to use plain water just like at home in the flush and cheapest chem we can find in the cassette. So thats what we do,
You are far better using just plain water for your flush tank, as the pink stuff can form a build up of algae in your tank which can find its way into your pump. Then the inevitable happens, the pump stops. Far better to mix a spray bottle of pink stuff and use it after every flush. You only need a couple of spray pulls. It is only a smell nice thing.
