Ok so last week I was putting lights into my 2006 silvercreek caravan when I I noticed on my multimeter it said the cables were outputting 13v not 12v all my lights and everything has worked fine since I bought the caravan but I don't know if this is a problem or not
Also I don't know if this is relevant or not but I'm using a transformer in the UK

13 volts or so is correct for a so called 12 volt system..

13.7 for a fully charged battery or while charging.. a real 12 volts would be with a near flat battery..

Just curios about the transformer, is that being used to hook the van up to shore power, being from the U.S. so you are dropping 240v ac to 110v ac, for the van to run it’s 110v ac appliances.

trog is correct on the DC voltage, even 13.8v is fine if shore power is powering the system.

I run off a generator and I have UK plugs in the caravan as well so it puts out 110ac and 220ac
