Why not use the auto heat/fan setting. Would imagine if you switched the fan off you wil have cold spots in your van.
From the manual "On the Auto setting, the fan is controlled by the thermostat and will only operate work when the 2KW power output has been selected. Piran’s Top Tip: On Auto setting, the fan operation is dependent on the amountof heat output detected by the sensor, controlled by the chosen temperature atthe thermostat control."

Not sure which Truma system you have. We had one on about a 2010 caravan which worked fine on electric only no fan. It had a thermostat and power selector on the wall and a couple of knobs on top of the fire. One for fan and one for temp I think.

The blow bot just spreads it round the van but we found it warmed up much quicker on heater only, no fan.
