Perhaps farmers field was a bit over the top, I mean small quiet, look at Gwyndy Farm in Tudweilog or Gelliwig farm, that's what I'm after. Now, if I'm permanently siting it (I drive but don't want to tow) what make caravan? Cos it won't be wearing and tearing will it. I'm wanting a 4 berth for more room 2 berth look tiny, there's only me. Read somewhere swift is good for siting. Help!!

All caravans are good for siting if they are damp free however you still need to get it to the site.

I would advise for you to make a list of your "wants" and "needs", set yourself a budget, and see what are available out there.

Everyone's needs and wants are different, such as number of berths, the type of layout, and onboard facilities and equipment.

For me personally, when I was spec'ing my MH/campervan, it was like spec'ing a tiny house, and she is my little home from home in all respects.

Good luck with your project.

Pitches are like gold dust this year because of Covid travel restrictions. Where we are at Bala has a waiting list for the first time ever of 31. They have usually had one or two available in the past.
Look for a pitch first, you don't want to be stuck with a caravan and nowhere to put it.
And prices of used vans are sky high too. Dealers are really low on used stock. Our 2009 van is the same price now as when we bought it 4 years ago.
Crazy times!

Many thanks for the sound advice, it's the planning that's important isn't it, I'll do my homework first and list my needs, with present situation and already almost in May, think take my time and set a date, next year or even year after. I'd be sorry if I rushed it.

Your right, it's probably the wrong time, I'm going to plan, look at some van's and sites and set a date for 22/23. Thanks for the advice.

Just wondered how much your pitch fee is, I've been looking for somewhere around Bala, fees see quite high, not just there, they vary so much all over. Is there anywhere on line that lists the prices. Thanks

£2000 per year including electric plus £160 for winter storage.
Thats £50 a week - or two nights per week paid in advance. We were there 3 nights last week ..... so we are ahead of the game!
