We have a 2 berth Elddis with a large end washroom and have never felt the need for a fixed bed (our son has a TA with island bed) Our front beds convert to a huge double in no time at all.
Why would I consider compromising on shower space and lugging around a van 5 foot longer and a lot heavier just to save 10 minutes a day!
If you feel the need to tow around a mobile boudoir then I would respectfully suggest that what you really need is a hotel.

After all we are camping here.

Sorry to rant but I have always considered fixed beds a step too far
