I bought a touring caravan for the first time about 4 weeks ago which I live in full time and as time has gone on I've noticed leaks, cracked sink, toilet not working etc etc
I've written to the seller and give him 14 days to rectify the problems but I live on false hope as I trusted his word that the damp was sorted but realised I felt vulnerable at the time and he's taken that to his advantage. He seemed genuine at the time but his demeanour has changed since the sale and says its my fault that the issues have arisen.
I maybe vulnerable but I'm not completely stupid.
I cannot afford to fix this or borrow to rectify this. I'm clueless to know what to do
Exactly how was the payment made to the seller when you bought the caravan and did you obtain a receipt for the payment?
Was the seller a dealer or was it a private sale?

Difficult one Evogirl71, I feel for you. Sadly if this was a private sale you will have a very difficult time recovering anything from the seller. In the circumstances it could cost you far more to pursue than you are likely to recover. Very much a case of buyer beware I'm afraid.
If however this was from a dealer, that is quite a different matter as you would have the law on your side. I wish you luck.
Part cash part Transfer
It was a private sale but he seems to have more vehicles for sale which I'd have to prove if he's a dealer or not which could prove to be difficult.
I'm more worried about the leaks as I've stated I'm not financially sound to get this fixed or borrow to rectify this 🤔
If he is regularly selling vehicles then he is a dealer. If he is selling vehicles from his home with vehicles parked there then probably against planning permission so report him to local council. If he is a dealer & you have owned caravan for less than 30days then you can return for a refund if goods are faulty. This is consumer law. If it is proved he is a dealer then you can claim anyway.
What is caravan. Make model year ? How much did you pay. Describe the faults. Where is it leaking. What is wrong with toilet ? If electric flush is not working that is usually easy fix. Caravans do need servicing. You can get a mobile service engineer in.
