Hi, everyone! Iv recently purchased some awning rail protector. I was advised to remove it b4 travelling. Is there anything available that can be used to prevent it coming out while travelling. Thanks in advance.
Never heard of this product. But, if its something that slides into the rail, you can get 'awning stops', that stop the awning migrating side to side in winds. Mine travel in the rail all the time.

I use one of these to reduce black streaks from rain water coming off the roof. I nowmally remove them before travelling but onece I forgot and all was well after a journey of over 100 miles. I have seen others with it on too, whether like me they forgot or just don't bother I don't know.
The fricion in the rail, especiallt at the rear corner means it is fairly difficult to pull out so in my opinion I doubt whether it would come out in transit.

We have awning rail protection strips on our caravan for reducing the black Mark's. I remove the awning side and store at home but the other side i leave it in when we travel. Never moved yet.
I have mine across the top and half way down each side and it never moves in transit. What I am finding of late is when we are leaving site and the awning is out its getting harder to thread through as I think that the plastic has hardened over time. We were on a site high up that was very windy and the wind was whistling through the channel this was one of my reasons for buying it I have the same setup on both sides of the van.
