I'm looking to get an air awning for my trigano 310, just wondered what people thought and is anyone selling one? My trigano came with full awning and a bed annexe but due to health issues I'm going to sell it and get an air one.
Thanks in advance

Hi there. I have a Trigano 380 and like you some health issues that caused me to think carefully about awning choice and the physical work involved in conventional type awnings and also air awnings & porches.
I had an air porch with my previous Camping unit and found that the air tubes can make the one piece construction heavy to lug about and feed through the awning channel. Consequently, I have opted for a conventional awning (Walker) for my Trigano 380. I remove all the side panels before taking it down and find that this makes handling the roof section much easier and crucially for me, lighter to handle when putting it up next time.
There were some aspects of the air porch that I did like but on the whole, I find the conventional awning easier and generally preferrable having regard to my health issues.

Best regards, Steve

Thanks for that, its just the poles are very heavy. We used to have a pennine folding camper and had to use steps to put the awning up but I guess we wouldn't need the step as the rail is a lot lower.

I was tempted to mention the height of the rail in my previous post as I am not personally aware of any air porches that would fit on to the rail and give a decent amount of headroom.I assumed that you may be considering screwing a rail to the side of the pop up roof and i have seen quite few people do this which opens up your choices.
I do have a sun canopy that attaches straight on to the normal awning rail but find that this arrangement is only really useful for sitting under if you are a six footer like me. The beauty of most purpose made conventional awnings for Trigano's is that they have a design that raises them at the caravan side therefore making them 'liveable' in.
I take your point about your poles if they are steel. Walkers have alloy poles that are much lighter than steel and easily managed, so I have been conditioned in that respect.

Regards, Steve

Height is ok for me, I can stand up in it with the roof down, my husband can't though. He's around 5'8 so should be OK. When I next get it out of the garage I'll get him to stand by it, never thought of that as never a problem for me 😁
Cheers Julie

Hope I'm not stating the obvious here but if you are thinking off attaching a standard air porch to the fixed rail of a Trigano, you'll have to factor in that standard porch designs are intended for a rail that is much higher off the ground than your caravan. Most standard air porches simply will not fit correctly on a Trigano.
If you are set on an air porch, your best bet may well be to have a rail fixed to the side of the pop up roof and then the whole market is open to you.
Refgards, Steve

Yeah, sorry. My mistake,. Got hung up with the 'porch' bit but the same applies really.
Good luck, Steve

We use a Kampa Air Pro 290 Eriba Awning with our Trigano 310 which is brilliant is terms of extra space it provides, which with a 310 is always welcome.
It is quite heavy when packed in its bag but not unmanageable, especially if there are two of you.
Me and my wife are both 5'8 and have no problem feeding it through the rail without the need to stand on anything.

Hi, I was looking at the kampa pop air 290, I didn't think the kampa air pro 290 fitted, I thought it was too high. Will look into this. Thanks

Thanks
