I have recently returned from my first outing in our new Coachman and would like to say how very impressed I am with it.
My last caravan built in Bristol had 15 faults, the Coachman had none.
The van is very well put together and feels extremely solid. Attention to detail is impressive with excellent lighting, well designed kitchen area, comfortable beds, a very well fitted out washroom and more cushions than you can shake a stick at. The only minor niggles are the lack internal cupboard shelves and coat hooks, though there is an extendible hanger in the shower cubicle for wet coats.
The exterior looks attractive and again feels very solid. External BBQ and electric points are easily accessible and there is easy access to the gas and battery lockers.
In this day and age people only take the time and trouble to write about their negative experiences so I am very pleased to provide positive feedback on my recent purchase.
The van was purchased from Ebor Leisure World of York.
Well said Barsar. Our Coachman is now 4 years old, but we were very impressed with it. There were just a few minor niggles that were quickly sorted. We bought ours from Glossop caravans and had taken advantage of their offer to stay overnight on their premises where they have a few pitches available for people who have travelled for collection. That meant those little niggles were found and sorted before we left the next morning.
Quite agree, people are quick to complain, so great to hear a little praise when it is due.

The Caravelair I bought new in July last year has had no faults. Used it 4 months last year & have now been using it a for the last couple of weeks & nothing has gone wrong which is as it should be. So nothing to report really.
Coachman were once the best UK caravans on the market with a reputation for build quality but that was starting to decline in the last few years with with many disgruntled customers returning to dealers with various issues. Sales were most likely declining year on year respectively so they now possibly have had to to change their stance on the issue in order to survive which is a coincidence considering that the company has been involved by a recent take over by a foreign investor. Possibly your new VIP model is the beginning of the new quality programme but time will tell during the 5 year guarantee period so hopefully nothing goes wrong and you can enjoy your new investment.
Our last new van was a fleetwood which we traded in for the coachman , never had any problems with the fleetwood in the 13 years we had it , proper quality, only traded it in as the wife wanted a new van . All said we do like the modern feel of the coachman & decor etc , just hope we get the problem sorted.
