That’s a great system trog100, I have not got into the world of solar as yet, but I am learning a lot for when the time comes, LiFeP04 batteries are the way to go that’s for sure.
I have been using a Xiaomi MiUi 300 watt mini kettle, fantastic bit of kit for around £18, I run it off my car battery via a cheap tiny Aldi 300 watt inverter, the inverter is almost a perfect match with the kettle drawing 28.60 amps, the inverter spec says that it is good for 28 amp, I could really do with getting a 400 watt inverter, as I know the kettle can pull 30 amps, having used it on my Mercury 600 watt Pure Sine Wave inverter battery box.
Using cold water it gets 300ml (max) to a rolling boil in just five minutes, which is much faster than the Waeco 180 watt 12v kettle that I used to use, which would take over 30 minutes to get 500ml to boil.
