I also like the ones that have the seating area in the front window rather than on both sides.
I love the Bailey retreat range for the space but apparently they are not for towing.
it's all very confusing and hard to decide which to go for.
You are right, the Bailey Retreat range was made for siting on a seasonal pitch rather than for touring. If you want something as big as you can get and you are sure your car is capable of towing it, then look at the 8 foot wide vans. All the major ranges have them. For example, Swift do the Sprite Super Quattro DB which has fixed bunks at the back which might be big enough for your kids. The fixed bunks tend to be a bit bigger than the fold down bunks.
Another option would be something with fixed single beds at the back where you could put the kids and then the seating area at the front makes up into a double for you. Look at the Bailey Pegasus Grande SE Rimini as an example of what I mean.
Both these could probably be got new for the top end of your budget.

We have been looking at a delta lunar t1 today with a fixed end bed and we like those this one was 15k
The only thing that put me off there was no table for food preparation and serving

Beware Lunar the manufacturer went bust about 3 years ago. We had a2011 Delta TI and it suffered terribly from damp. Later models had issues with the three front windows cracking so might be an idea to steer away from any Lunar products and we were big Lunar fans.

Hi Debbie
Make sure you take a damp meter with you when you go to look at second hand caravans. Damp is the number one problem and isn’t always easy to spot without a meter. Damp can also be a very expensive thing to get fixed so you need to be absolutely sure that there is no damp in the van. Unfortunately, the nickname Leaky Lunar came about for a reason so be really careful! If you are definitely going to purchase and you are new to caravans, I would get an independent damp report from a professional (not the person selling the van) to be sure before you buy.

Hi all thank you we are buying it from a Dealer in Stoke on trent
We had the 2011 Delta TI from brand new and a nice layout, but suffered from major damp around the front windows so make doubly sure that there is no damp around the front windows. The other area of damp was around the toilet cassette at the rear. Common occurrence for both issues.
The MTPLM can normally be upgraded to give you more payload so ask the dealer. Does it come with a motor mover as almost essential on such a large caravan.
Also we had to have ours modified as there was a heat build up under the front bunk seats from the ALDE system. The modification was approved by Lunar. Unfortunately I cannot post a picture of the modification as I need to upload it to some website.
