Hello, we are new to caravanning, we are folding camping people, but want to extend our season, so have purchased a lovely caravan. My question is, as we aren’t good at climbing ladders, how do you experienced caravanners clean the roof of your vans? Do you use, extendable angled brushes, if there is such a thing! Any ideas would be gratefully received. I appreciate a ladder of some description will be needed, a shorter one hopefully, but would be interested to hear your thoughts. I am thinking we may have to pay a mobile caravan cleaning company? It’s just the roof we will struggle with, a two step ladder will be fine for the sides, front and back. TIA for your help.

I have a tripod Henchman ladder, bought for getting into some of the larger hedges in my garden.
They are exceptionally stable and being aluminium, light and I find it easy to carry around (I am not very tall and despite being retired can still buy clothes in the kids' department, should I want to, which gives you an idea of how small I am and therefore how easily the ladder can be moved).
You can find it online, https://www.henchman.co.uk
No affiliation, bla bla bla. Because of the design you cannot actually get too close to the van roof, but I found it quite sufficient for hose/long handled brush, etc.
(edited to add: although I drive a campervan now, we’ve had a couple of caravans, so that’s what I meant about using the Henchman ladder to do the van roof)
