After the last 24 hours of rain we now have a paddling pool in the awning! This is definitely a site I will never be returning to!
I am surprised you haven't named and shamed yet...mind you, I have just spotted a photo of your caravan in your profile and that monster would sink into concrete
I always check for the site being level - or not. And if i need to hoist it up on one side a tad, have a purpose built 2-stage 4 inch 'lift' from scaffold boards. If that doesnt do, i dont use the pitch, as one side is then over-high for my liking.

Lovely looking caravan though.
It’s only a single axle Bob so not as heavy as some twins but still heavy for a single! I don’t really like naming and shaming on forums but I will do a thorough and hopefully fair review of the site when we get home. The site does have some good things going for it and if we had got a nice flat hardstanding pitch we would probably be very happy.
At least the forecast for the next few days is for some sunshine so hopefully that will dry things out!

a single axle will sink more than a twin axle.. there is only half the surface area to support the weight..

This sounds like a trip we had to Mortonhall about 12yrs ago for the Tattoo and Fringe. They were building roads to pitches on the site it was that bad. Fortunatelly we arrived just before the deluge started and being on a slope the pitch managed to intact, though the quagmire all over the site was horrendous with many units needing to be towed off.
From your weather forecast I'm assuming your down around the South East area??
We're going to Suffolk in a few weeks hope it's a bit drier there, though I'm glad we couldn't get to the Netherlands this year, we would have been there around now 😟 🌧⛈🌧.
Despite everything I hope you're enjoying it as much as you can. Have a safe tow home.

I was going to ask for the name of the site, but 400 pitches! I'm afraid I would rather stay at home. Hope things have improved.
It’s definitely not our usual type of site but we had limited choice as we were planning to go to France but when we realised we couldn’t, it was very difficult to get anywhere in the south of England. To be honest, it hasn’t felt like a busy site and has been nice and peaceful, despite the number of people here, until today that it, when loads of families with kids arrived. I assume that the schools broke up yesterday and now everyone has descended on the coast. We are heading for home tomorrow and not a minute too soon judging by how things have livened up today!
