If you have a Vision Plus TV aerial then you need a Vision Plus TV booster which need to be compatible. If it's a roof mounted TV aerial of the round dish type then there were two models which were orange (the 312) and then purple (the 315) which the vision plus booster needs to be of the same identical colour merely for compatible purposes.

A lot will depend on the age of the aerial and this is indicated by the colour of the logo; the old were in purple the newer in orange.

If purple the box is not an amplifier bur a power feed to an amplifier in the matching aerial, here you must replace like with like.

If orange then the amplifier was relocated to the box, and thus the aerial can use alternative amplifiers.

I have do that after a failure of the Vision Plus amplifier, I replaced mine with a Fringe amplifier which has lasted much longer.
