You've been given most info off various people. The travel ones rated at 1200w give you a little more flexability when looking at things you must turn off before using them. If unsure of site supply try to only use one 'heating' appliance at once on electic (water heater, kettle, hair dryer etc).
It may not be an issue, but some handles on the travel models fold down making them easier to store.
