You say you don't have space at home to wash it. I usually hitch mine to my carand park them both in the road and wash my caravan there. If it is hitched to the car it can't move and it is quick and easy to move it back to storage.

We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.

I feel very anxious now when my husband goes up a ladder as the older you get the slower your reactions to deal with instability. Cleaning the sides of the caravan is easy enough with a long handled microfibre mop but I get worried about him doing the roof so I decided to enquire locally about getting the caravan washed in a few weeks time to make sure the roof is nice and clean and then we can keep the sides clean easily enough throughout the season.

I contacted 2 people who advertise locally. One wanted £100 and the other wanted £65. I can’t believe how much they are charging for a simple caravan wash (there are lots of added extras you can add to that price such as wax which make it even more expensive). Maybe my expectations are unrealistic but does that sound expensive to anyone else? Has anyone had their caravan washed for them recently and how much did it cost?

I had mine cleaned on a site last year and it was £25 including the roof and sides. He used a pressure washer adjusted to low pressure so it was like using a hose.

I was watching a guy at the NEC washing a model caravan and boasted it only needs half a bucket to wash a whole caravan.
Did anyone else see it.

if your car could travel at the speed of light and you turned on your lights what would happen?

Try a Kárcher jet was fitted with a car-wash brush. This reduces the pressure at the nozzle and does a good job.

This is the one. To rinse off just use a hose.
