We have purchased an Eccles Quartz 90 caravan and are wondering about the internal lights. There are 2 light switches near the door, 1 switches on the awning light and the other seems to only switch on the light above the mirror. I'm not sure if there are supposed to be lights above the cupboards in the seating area because it seems strange to not have any main lights come on when you first go in the door. Does anyone else have one of these caravans and if so is the lighting correct?

None of the main light come on when I go in the door. The light switches in my caravan are all on the actual lights themselves, apart from the awning light, and the switch for that is inside by the door. I don't know the Eccles Quartz 90 specifically, but I doubt only one light coming on is in anyway unusual.

no its perfectly normal in most caravans i have ever been into, if it bothers you, then you could get a remote controlled lamp and turn that on as you got near the caravan so your not walking into darkness.
After the 'Master' switch is turned on in our van, after that we have an independent 'Lighting' switch that powers all the switches to each individual light except the awning one. I've added some extra lighting inside the wardrobe and under the fixed bed but they are all ultimately controlled from the one switched feed on the control panel.

I did think about putting a light switch near the door but decided it wasn't worth the bother as it's only one step inside to reach the light at the back of the caravan. If we go out in the evening while on site we tend to leave that light on anyway as well as the awning light. The caravan then looks occupied.
