Quite simply, there is no 'best' caravan, these forums are full of horror stories involving models from all makes.
If you're asking what is the best transverse bed, firstly I'd say when looking at the various models, remember that when in use, you'll have bedding on, so allow for that extra measurement.
I'm biased of course, but I'd say the Swift, when pulling out the bed a 'bolster' drops into the resulting gap at the head of the bed. However, if the person sleeping on the side of the bed away from the toilet, is bigger than average size, they will struggle to get past to the toilet during the night.
Really the best layout, imho, is the longitudinal bed at the back, with 2 doors through to the middle toilet/washroom.
------------- David.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure!

the Adria isonzo has a transverse bed, no add in bolsters or pull out sections, and I am 6ft 4 tall and get a cracking nights sleep, and no problems getting past end of bed
