Welcome.
As to which is 'the best' awning in general terms, we all have different opinions on that, not quite 'cat amongst the pigeons', but expect 'debate'! Some love airbeam awnings, others hate them, then the same comes to brands, styles etc., it goes on, so you will never get a simple definitive answer!
With a particular van, you first need to find out some dimensions, to see what the options are, if I'm not mistaken (just looking at photos on the internet), you have a window right beside the door and the roof line curves down immediately in front of the window, also the roof line kicks up at the rear. I think your first task is to check the awning rail height (ground to rail height) and the max straight rail run length (between curve at front and where it kicks up at rear), on older vans with pitched roofs the rail height is often too low for many modern awnings which are designed for flat roofed vans with a higher rail height.
With the window so close to the door, and the rail curving down in front of the window, it appears you will have no choice but to have the awning wall run across the window (which some people hate), and suffer not being able to open the window, and a few extra draughts through the gaps above and below the window where the awning wall is not a tight fit against the caravan wall.
Once you have those dimensions, only then can you look at what's on the market that may fit, and start to whittle pros and cons down to what you actually want/need. With the pitched roof and likely consequently low awning rail height, be prepared to find your choices quite limited.
Come back to us with the dimensions, and then we can then start to apply some valid suggestions (hopefully). You're not the first to ask about awnings for older (low rail height) vans, so there is some knowledge rattling around on the subject.
