Newbie here looking to buy first caravan! Going to view a 2014 model at the weekend. Has anyone got one? Just wondered what your thoughts are. It's an ideal layout for us.

Private or trade sale? If private, is the paperwork in the vendors name?

Check for a service history especially a damp report.

If you are serious about the van take the CRIS number and run a check on it. If the checks are ok consider getting it checked professionally before you spend any more money.

Is the price reasonable compared with similar caravans for sale.

Is your tow car suitable?

Hopefully somebody with particular experience of this model will be able to give more specific advice.

Check very carefully for any stress cracks on the front and rear panels, especially in the corners. If end caps have been fitted this suggests they are a repair, which some owners report does not solve the problem.

Check for damp, especially around the front windows. If there is not a recent damp report get one done.

The van trade. We are viewing it Sunday. Will take damp meter and thoroughly test. Will request a service and damp report if we like it.
Towing with Kia Carens 1.7 which has max tow of 1500kg.
