Can any one recommend a non slip carpet runner for my caravan. To be used on existing carpet or vinyl flooring. Our present one decides to go walkies. Most frustrating having to continuely move it back into position.
Believe it or not look in a pet store. My friend got one because their dog kept sliding on the runner in the house, he now puts it in the caravan when they go away. Sorry no link but try Mr Google.

The only rugs we could find that minimised slippage but did not stop it completely over carpet were black backed rubberised ones, they did work very well over caravan floor without the carpet. They come in a good range of sizes and colour hues.
Just stick it in the washing machine after every trip, good as new.

As well is two words!

I find the problem is not with the mat but with the caravan carpet! I've got a dealer special van, which had the 'luxury' deeper pile carpet, I've put a decent sized rubber backed doormat/runner in the doorway extending over the carpet as the basic fixed Lunar effort was pathetically small and pretty ineffective, but the doormat 'walks' all over the place every time you step on it. I've yet to find a successful method to stop it moving short of screwing it to the floor (which I won't be doing!).
Had the same 'walking doormat' issue with the carpet at home when it was new(ish), only when pile had trodden down after much use did the problem lessen.
A mat will always walk in the direction of the pile on a carpet. Never found a good answer, stick on loop velcro on back of mat stops it moving but makes a mess of the pile on the carpet ( fluffs it up when you pull it off) and the glue backing on velcro melts in heat and the velcro slips.
I do wish there was a solution. Fortunately our caravan has hard floors and non slip matting under the carpet works.
