I can simply look at the Gaslight bottle, give it a slight shake and immediately see where the level is.

With my "cheap skate" 11kg steel I park at the side of the van, just attempting to lift it gives quite a good idea how things are going, then there is my £5 digital luggage scale if I want to increase the precision.

Overriding all, I could not possibly miss the comment I would receive if we actually had an unplanned run out.

I think that's a comment made by others on reviews! They sort of work but rather too expensive to be so unreliable. Think they appeal to (and get ***** approval from) people who generally have no idea of how to check contents any other way!

£5 luggage scales are pretty much spot on and don't care what your cylinder type is, so universal, not steel only!

Hopefully you can either return it for refund, of find it reliable enough with multiple checks that you can actually use it.

i will keep it.. what i will say is having to remove a gas bottle to check what is in it is 100% no no for me.. so the weighing scale idea is not for me.. what i wanted and dont mind paying for it is quick and easy way to check gas level in situ.. so far the ultrasonic thing though far from perfect still seems the best way..

you can see the contents of a gaslight bottle, like looking at a pop bottle, you Can't get any easier than that
