I'm off to France next month, and have been looking into availability/cost of Campingaz 907 cylinder refills out there (been researching French outlets directly), and TBH not had much joy in finding any encouraging info from this side of the channel!
I was debating which type of gas cylinder to take and calculating gas usage to ensure either we didn't run out on a UK cylinder that I couldn't get refilled out there, or if a CG 907 was the better option on basis of always been easy to find refill in past (calculations suggest a refill may be necessary!). Research found lots of stockists for CG equipment, BUT a fair number of places stated not stocking CG cylinders, and I couldn't find anywhere local that positively said they did and/or a price, at least for the region I was going! That left me wondering if CG cylinders have fallen out of favour since I last went to France 3 years back, maybe the comparatively high price has driven people to the multitude of MUCH cheaper alternatives there as it's done in UK, and there is not sufficient demand for them to stock them anymore!
Anyway, the uncertainty has driven me to decide on taking a probably oversized UK cylinder for peace of mind. I'd be really interested to hear of any responses to OP query, and what I find when we actually get to France. Upside is, it's saved me a fortune on refill costs, every other bottled gas is about half the price/Kg than CG!
I did find one outlet doing 907 refills, Castorama, at 27.90 Euros, but currently out of stock in nearest store, and that was a 30Km round trip away from my location, so not terrible convenient anyway!
