I’m all out of calor lite and struggling to swap my bottles. Was thinking of just getting one normal calor bottle but like the idea of two so have just been reading about GasLight. Do the 10kg bottles fit in a standard locker or do I need the smaller ones?

I don’t use a lot of gas so not interested in Safefill.

Well, I've measured my Lunar caravan gas locker and the 10Kg GasLight 'technically' JUST ABOUT fits, but it would be a VERY snug fit (I do have one, but I haven't physically tried it yet!). You've got to remember that such a tall cylinder will need to be manoeuvred into place with the diagonal height being the critical dimension as it'll need inserting in something other than an upright position before finally resting in upright place!

The 5Kg fits with ease.

I too don't use much gas and once the existing (came with caravan) 6Kg standard Calor is exhausted, a 5Kg Gaslight (which I already have) will go in it's place. I would benefit from the lighter nose weight, but equally so, can't be asked to be faffing with the Calor supply issues that are so problematic at the moment.

As to what fits in your locker, I'd very much suggest measuring your locker height BEFORE investing in a 10Kg Gaslight!

Thanks, I’m away at the minute. Have run out of calor. No tape measure. There’s a flogas place up the road, think I’ll play it safe and get a 5kg…..if they have some.

Don't forget you'll need a different cylinder coupling for the Flogas cylinder, AND that may require a different pig tail!

27mm Clip on coupling which usually mates with a standard 'Butane' pigtail on both 5Kg and 10Kg Flogas cylinders.

I have 2 x 10kg Gaslights fitted in the front locker of my Bailey Rimini.
There's enough room for them both and not too awkward to change.
The base is a slightly different size but I modified the van to suit.

-------------
I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

If you intend anyway to go the Gaslight route, can you not arrange to first "borrow" an empty 10 kg from that dealer, explain your dilemma and be prepare to place a decent deposit down to assure them you will bring it back?
