Just cut short first break in our new coachman 575 to return the van to the dealers (Raymond James) after the windows started detaching from the caravan. Appeared to be worsening the hotter the day got although 20 degrees was hardly a scorcher. Whilst taping the one window with gorilla tape we could see another window starting to do the same... brand new van, first trip, 1 week and windows falling out... so much for Coachmans build quality.. Dealer took the brunt of our frustrations this morning but when they offered to remove all the windows and rebond them one has to wonder how common this serious fault is.
Anyone else has this issue lately. I have read that this issue had occurred several years ago.
Very sorry to hear that. I have a new 575 and mine was leaking through the bonded sun roof. Now fixed but not good. I will be watching the windows closely.

This happened to our 545 about seven years ago. I was surprised to find that the windows were fixed with little more than double sided sticky tape. In the warmth of the French Summer with the window wide open, the point was reached when the window could "unhook" itself. The 'van spent a good few months at Raymond James while the window was replaced and the dents removed. We also had problems with the hinges on the "battery" boxes breaking. Coachman tried to claim that we must have trapped the electric cable in the box. Difficult as one was just a storage locker! This was when we decided that Coachman's famous guarantee meant it's only guaranteed until it breaks.
The situation was eventually resolved, but we had to pay the labour charge for replacing the two boxes. This did not put us off Coachman as we replaced the 545 with a 575 in 2018. At the latest service damp was discovered around the underbed locker door. We await the outcome, and the application of Coachman's famous guarantee with bated breath.
well i've always praised coachman caravans as great vans with brilliant build quality, I had a 2008 6 birth amara front new no issues apart from the front window going floppy which they changed, a 2010 amara dealer special with no issues again, This was changed for a 2015 575 last year & i'm getting to the point that i wished i kept the old van, Just seems to be problem after problem
Hi
Literally just picked up my Coachman 575 on Tuesday. Got onto the site and Wednesday afternoon the window just fell out. As you can imagine bloody annoyed and let the dealer know my feelings. Also rang Coachman direct to be told that this is not the first time this has happened, something we were never told at the time of purchase. Now having to call a local mobile repair guy to come and carry out a temporary repair. Really not impressed after parting with over 35000. Ian now demanding all the windows are re bonded or the van is going back as faulty goods
This is just the sort of thing that makes me question the build quality of recent caravans. Males me wonder if many of them will get to be 30 years old like mine.
Hope you folks get these inexcusable problems sorted out pronto! I'd be absolutely furious if I'd paid out the kind of money these vans cost.
Exactly what happened to us.... on all windows down the the non-door side... we then had a major leak as the waste pipe was not secured properly. a leak had been occurring for some time so some considerable water damage had occurred and all under the electrics... We rejected the van and returned it. .... Lost a whole season of Caravanning.
good evening, sadly I have had the same issue with the windows. Brand new 565 and had 2 windows fall out whilst on holiday in Suffolk in the early summer. Van went back yesterday to the dealer Grantham Caravans for warranty investigation. Ive been told today that I need 2 new windows. Very disappointed in coachman but even more disappointed with the blasé, couldn't care a less attitude of Grantham Caravans. In all my born days ive never experienced such shocking after sales service from any company.
I have to confess Raymond James were vert good for us, replaced / re-bonded the windows ASAP and accepted the request to reject after the leak without any fuss and happy to spend the time with us to look at alternatives.
They did sell our van on by the looks of it for a few grand more than we paid so I think they did alright but cannot fault the customer service.
Worth noting that even though we were bitterly disappointed with what happened and weren't too keen on another coachman, the quality of the others we looked at still made the coachman a different class in build quality. So we wait for our new replacement coachman.
Just opened the window in are 2022 Acadia 575 and it virtually came off in my hands. The beam that goes across the top of the window has come away from the van. In Yorkshire 300 miles from home so plenty of gaffer tape required for the journey home. What a shambles!!!
Sorry to hear you have had the same common fault. Which side was it?
The issue is caused by not allowing enough time for the top bar which the window attaches too, too bond. After the dealer did ours as a repair they were solid and they advised its down to attaching the windows too soon during assembly....
