Hi.
Do Green Flag , Mayday or any other recovery company repair puncture to caravan?
We are just in the process of getting another caravan and the first thing I will be doing is getting new tyres. I dread getting a puncture on motorways or any road.
would I just drive to a safe place or off the motorway with a flat?
Cheers

the thing is if a caravan Tyre goes flat while on the move the car driver has no idea until bad things happen..
my advice is to always use some kind of slime to stop tyres going down while on the move.. the stuff does work.. i use Oko its not expensive..
1) Get tyrepal if you haven’t already, it will give warning of a puncture.
2) If you have a slow puncture, slow down and get off the motorway ASAP
3) if your tyre is deflated, do not attempt to drive off the motorway, you will almost certainly cause damage to your caravan, pull as far over into the hard shoulder and arrange recovery, Mayday will not charge you for replacing the tyre if you have a usable spare.
Think most people worry about getting a blow out etc but the risk can be minimised with tyrepal and good examination of tyres before setting off (obviously looking for bulges, cracks etc on inner and outer surfaces and most importantly - correct tyre pressures
Check with your breakdown cover to see if they will change a caravan wheel as well as car. Obviously you need a serviceable spare wheel for your caravan. Saga breakdown will change caravan wheel. A quick look at Green flag website suggests they do but speak to them before taking out cover.
You don't need Mayday or similar for this. I have a standard policy with Green Flag which gives caravan & Trailer cover and when I had a blow out (another story) last year they were out and changed the wheel at the side of a busy dual carriageway in less than an hour. You do need to carry a spare though.

I recently had a flat tyre, and the RAC came out and said he would try to repair it temporarily, so the answer is yes they do at least.
Unfortunately in my case their was a large rip, so it wasn't repairable, roadside or not!
first hand experience going to Cornwall a couple of weeks ago got a puncture on M42 luckly for us it had a hard shoulder to pull onto Im with green flag they sent a guy from Redhouse who changed the wheel and got us on our way after 21/2 hours but thats another story
