Thelarger rolls are better if you use the onboard shower, if it's a long walk to the filling point! We have 2 for that reason. When one runs out swap it over and refill at your convenience.

We don't use an Aquaroll, instead we have 2 x 25 litre food grade bottles. Stand them side by side then when one runs out just lift the pump out and drop it in the other one. Then refill the empty one when it's convenient. To save having to carry them we use a trolley.

However, I'm not sure a pump that size would fit our bottles either. We use a high-flow Whale pump which fits perfectly.

Colin

Obviously you do not wash up or shower in your caravan? 50 litres for us would be a number of trips to the tap.    LOL!

Only two of us in our caravan. We do wash up in the caravan, but we usually use the site showers. However, we are out quite a lot of the time and often eat out, so there is often not that much to wash up anyway. 50 litres for us is plenty with the way we use it. We have a separate container for drinking water that we usually keep in the fridge for cold drinks, so we don't drink the water from the taps except for tea and coffee. We have a water meter at home, so being pensioners on a very limited income we have learned to be quite frugal with everything, and that includes water.

We use the sites with no facilities so use our onboard shower. It was very useful during the last couple of years when site facilities were not open or in restricted use.

Hi, just bought our first caravan (GoPod). It was second hand and came with an Aquaroll.

However, the pump is too big to fit in the hole! What are we doing wrong??

please make sure that aquaroll you were given ,was not used as a waste container, with just a flexy pipe into it,

Maybe the pump has been replaced, or you have the older aquaroll with a small inlet.

That seems to be an unusually large pump and quite a small opening on the Aquaroll. I'm not sure whether that pump would even fit in the later Aquaroll. I've never seen one quite like it with the outlet pipe up the outside of the pump body. The ones I have seen have the outlet on the top.

You are clearly doing nothing wrong but you have been supplied with incompatible equipment that has obviously never been used together.

That is a standard pistol grip pump.

Really? It's nothing like the pistol grip pump I had with my last caravan. Yes the pistol grip end is the same but I have never seen a pump like that before.

Agreed, strange pump!

Thats a very good point as I've seen them used for the waste water.

I use a 29 litre and a 40 litre aquaroll, both have the bigger openings.

Certainly not strange, possibly just something you’ve not seen before!

Nothing unusual about the pump.
As I've already stated, that is a pic of a 29ltr Aquaroll!
The pump will fit in the 40ltr no problem!
