Hi, I have a Musketeer and due to health reasons now find that I need to fit a motor mover to get it into tight pitches and also position it on my driveway without having to manually push/pull it around.
Can anyone advise which budget motor movers will fit the chassis and or any special adaptors needed. My friend is able to fit it for me, without having to get it professionally fitted.
Aldi did do one, an Emove, priced between £500-£600.
It is currently no longer available, probably down to the time of year.
Possibly now will be Spring time next year.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I would advise a Powrtouch Classic,as you will have 5 years warranty for parts with no quibble if you return the registration card.( do not even ask to see failed part ). I first fitted to a previous caravan one of the so called cheaper brands and only lasted a couple of years and could not obtain parts to repair it.

I'm on 2nd van with powrtouch classic. Never gone wrong.
If on tight drive think about whether you will be able to get to both sides to lower mover onto wheel. We can't so have a linked winder so I can wind both down together from one side.
Also, isolator switch will be in the battery box, so make sure you will have access to that side.
My powrtouch I have fitted to 2 caravans now over 10 years. I cannot fit isolator in battery box as side is parked close to side of house. So I fit a 100 amp relay instead of isolator, and operate it from a key switch.

Hi Bill I have a Royal Hercules fitted to my van (I think these are now discontinued) never had a problem with it so far, but after reading a previous post on here the next one I will be going for is an emover
The post was titled motor mover by piptheyounger, the manufacturer went out of their way to make sure the problem was rectified,
Great to hear there are some caravan equipment suppliers that are above the norm

When a bought a new Sprite Musketeer EB in 2010 I fitted (diy) a Purpleline Enduro 2 or equivalent. I've since moved it to an Adria Altea. Works well with both and still going strong. Price at the time was about £500 which was the cheapest mover I could find. There seems to be a few identical movers but with different branding.
Take a look at the Emove range of motor movers. Usually cheaper than powrtouch and they also come with a 5 year parts warranty.
Apparently some people struggle with levering the powrtouch manual engagement. The emove manual ones wind on.
If you have very tight access to both sides of the caravan (and can't manually engage the mover either side) - get an auto engagement one (bit of a price jump though).
My first Powrtouch lasted around 15 years before I had problems, when I had the new classic powrtouch fitted he found that the original fitter had joined the wires underneath poorly and it was more than likely that they were causing the problem.
He gave me the option of doing a repair on the old one or fitting the new, I went for new as I wanted peace of mind, plus the 5 year warranty
