The pressure in itself on cold water shouldn't be a problem as normal mains pressure is much higher than caravan pump pressure!
BUT ordinary garden hose is not normally expected to work at the sort of temperatures (in my van it's up to 60C) you might experience on a hot water system! It depends on the hose to some extent, the material and reinforcing (if any!) used, it may simply soften enough to burst, or it may soften enough to creep over time off the fitting when pressurised. Either way you risk a pressurised leak, and of hot water!
The other issue is that ordinary garden hose can encourage bacterial growth and/or leach unpleasant chemicals into the water! You may not be drinking it, but you may be washing and washing up in it, and generally best not come into contact with either nasty!
Proper caravan fittings are carefully specified to be safe at temperature, not propagate bacteria, and not leach potentially dangerous chemicals into the water.
IMHO, best to find a way of plumbing with appropriate fittings for both peace of mind and safety.
