Hi all again. Can anyone recommend a front towing cover. We use CL sites so most are in the country. Although I always wash and polish my van before we leave home by the time we get on site the front of van looks like a farmer has sprayed the front of it with his muck spreader. Cheers, mick.
We don’t use one. Van can be washed. My concern is having to put it on when the van is wet or dusty and also its another thing to store.
Of course it's personal choice.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I've been caravanning for 18 years and never seen the need of having a front towing cover merely because it was another item to store and restricts access to the front locker. However, last year in June, something hit the front nearside window whereby the outer half went flying over the caravan and was alerted by the driver behind. After the incident I made a make-shift window out of plywood and tried numerous breakers within 100 mile radius without any success but to have one made I needed the original window for a copy which the outer half was still lying somewhere on the A141. The cost of a new window was not far short of 900 quid so I decided to put in a claim with my caravan insurance which prompted me then to buying a front towing cover for protection against flying debris or stones. If I had a front towing jacket on at the time of the incident it would have saved me a lot of time, hassle and money to say the least. However, regarding anwsering your question, we purchased a Quest universal towing cover which does the job but after talking to others that use a front towing cover I now consider that it pays to have one that fits your van. They are more expensive because they are custom made but I believe that some towing covers have a zipped panel which makes it much easier to gain access to the front locker. I've been looking for a custom made second hand front towing cover for a Coachman myself but trying to find one for sale to fit a 2004 model is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Most of the used ones appear to be for 2012 onwards which the majority of those seem to be for a Swift or a Bailey.
I agree with all the comments (for and against). I have Unicorn Valencia 2011 series 1 (only 1 awning rail on the nearside). So had to go with one of the custom made covers.
Mine is a Pro-tec cover. It was a second purchase from ebay... An absolute bargain.
Prior to putting the cover on I give the van a quick wipe over with little spray bottle and microfibre cloth to remove any dust or excess water.

I've got a specialised front cover that come with the caravan (Swift Challenger 580) that I don't use, you can have it if it will fit yours, just pay for the postage.
