Thank you for your posts. We ended up with a Swift Elegance 480 2019 model. We bought it privately with many extras.
I love the extra space it gives us over a fixed bed. It also has the large upright fridge freezer which makes it easier for me,
The Duvalay topper I bought for my fixed single bed in the motorhome fits well on the front seat.
We haven’t been away in it yet, next week.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating,we’ll see.

After making a bad decision and buying a new 7.4m motorhome last year with fixed beds we sold it after ten months, It was just too large.
We are now looking at a smaller two berth with no fixed beds, back to making the beds up every night.
Glad you’re sorted now with a caravan that suits. That was indeed a huge MH! Ours is 5.8m long, front seats turn to form comfy armchairs, bench seats make up into a huge double. Bedding all goes under one of them: a duvet, a duvet cover that acts as sheet or on its own in hot weather, a mattress topper to protect the bench fabric. We head off every time the good weather coincides with no commitments at home.
Thankfully there’s a layout of caravan or MH to suit everyone, and that 7.2m MH is making someone very happy.
When I was much younger and a coach driver I often fancied the idea of buying an old coach and converting it into a motorhome. I had seen one done, and it was fabulous! It was a coach that had belonged to a company I once worked for and I had driven it many times.
Unfortunately the reality was that firstly we couldn't afford it, and secondly where on earth would we keep it? I'm not sure how many sites would allow it either.
