Powertouch mover will move a couple of feet and then stop. We have to repeatedly keep turning the red key on and off to move it. Anyone else with this problem.
How good is your battery and how well charged? It could be that the mover has battery sensing and is detecting a low battery. Turning it off then on again resets it. Just a possibility.

Recently had a very similar issue and it was the battery, this was after changing the remote battery first with no joy.

It reads 12v.
Is that with a proper multi-meter or the onboard meter? If it's the latter they are notoriously inaccurate. In any case, 12 volts is too low. It should be at least 12.7 volts as the load of the mover will drop it still further, particularly if the battery isn't in tip-top condition.
It sounds like a battery problem to me too, if you don't have a tester take it to a garage, halfords etc and get it checked, I would swap the handset battery first.
However a flat caravan battery will read 12v or less
just for interest a new powrtouch control unit and handset is £319 quid..
i bought and fitted one a couple of day back.. in my case forwards only activated one motor.. it did everything else including going backwards but not forwards..

Thank you everyone for your replies. We will be shopping for a new battery tomorrow.
Have you actually tested the battery voltage with a voltmeter which was advised in one of the above posts?
It has been known several times for someone to change the battery and still have the same ongoing problem. A voltmeter will take all guessing out of what might be wrong!
